FactGM planned Super Cruise for the 2024 refresh, then scrapped it after the launch slipped.
GM introduced the second-generation Buick Envision in the United States in May 2020 for the 2021 model year. It is built by SAIC-GM in Yantai, China, on the E2XX platform shared with the Cadillac XT4, and is sold in China as the Envision S alongside a stretched three-row Envision Plus. In the US it has a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder of 228 hp with a nine-speed automatic. It was facelifted for 2024, and in January 2026 GM announced that production for the US would move to Fairfax Assembly in Kansas in 2028.

Every Defender before this one was body-on-frame — this generation broke decades of tradition with an aluminium unibody structure instead.

The L405 was the first Range Rover with a fully aluminum monocoque body, cutting up to 420 kg from the outgoing steel-bodied L322.

Rear passengers get a 17.3-inch screen that extends from the roof, and a lidar sensor sits in the front of the roof.

Its range-extender variant is rated for 1,200 km on a tank and charge, over three times the car's electric-only range.
