FactChina's long-wheelbase iX3 stretches 108mm in the wheelbase and gets an LFP entry trim the rest of the world never sees.
The first Neue Klasse model, the BMW iX3 is a battery-electric compact luxury crossover SUV succeeding the X3-based G08 iX3, in production since October 2025 (Debrecen, Hungary; Dadong, China for the long-wheelbase NA6). The global 800V flagship, iX3 50 xDrive, is dual-motor AWD making 463 hp (345 kW) and 641 N-m (473 lb-ft) from a 108.7 kWh NMC pack, DC fast-charging at up to 400 kW, rated up to 434 mi (698 km) EPA / 800 km WLTP. China's long-wheelbase NA6 line adds three more trims with LFP or larger NMC packs: the rear-drive entry 30L (77 kWh LFP, 261 hp), and AWD 40L xDrive (86.9 kWh, 369 hp) and 50L xDrive (113.4 kWh, 463 hp), each rated only on China's CLTC cycle so no comparable EPA/WLTP figure is filed for them. NA5 (standard wheelbase) measures 2,897 mm (114.1 in) wheelbase and 4,782 mm (188.3 in) long; the NA6 long-wheelbase China cars stretch to 3,005 mm (118.3 in) wheelbase and 4,885 mm (192.3 in) long; width and height (1,895 mm / 74.6 in and 1,635 mm / 64.4 in) are shared. Curb weight for the global 50 xDrive is 2,285 kg (5,038 lb).

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.

Despite launching from a standing start in late 2025, the i60 topped GAC Aion's own sales chart through January's seasonal slowdown.

Every Defender before this one was body-on-frame — this generation broke decades of tradition with an aluminium unibody structure instead.

Crashed on the passenger side instead of the driver's, the 2014 Forester showed far more intrusion and would have rated Marginal with the IIHS.

The L405 was the first Range Rover with a fully aluminum monocoque body, cutting up to 420 kg from the outgoing steel-bodied L322.

Rear passengers get a 17.3-inch screen that extends from the roof, and a lidar sensor sits in the front of the roof.

Its range-extender variant is rated for 1,200 km on a tank and charge, over three times the car's electric-only range.
