FactThe Bentayga's body is assembled at Crewe, but Volkswagen builds its unibody first at its own Zwickau plant.
The Bentayga is Bentley's first SUV, introduced in late 2015 after debuting at the Frankfurt Motor Show and previewed by the EXP 9 F concept of 2012. Its unibody is built at Volkswagen's Zwickau plant and painted and assembled at Crewe, on the MLB Evo platform shared with the Audi Q7, Lamborghini Urus and Porsche Cayenne. Engines have included a 6.0-litre W12, a 4.0-litre V8, a 4.0-litre V8 diesel and a 3.0-litre V6 plug-in hybrid with a 17.3 kWh battery, all with permanent all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic. It was facelifted in June 2020.
