FactThe Rocsta undercut every other 4WD on the market so thoroughly that it helped spark a whole off-road racing scene in Korea, just by making the sport affordable.
The Asia Rocsta, a small four-wheel-drive off-roader offered as an SUV or pickup, was built by Asia Motors Corporation in South Korea from 1990 to 1997, derived from the Asia-developed K111 military Jeep; its lower price than rival 4WDs helped popularise off-road racing in Korea. Engines were a 1.8-litre Mazda F8 petrol four or a 2.2-litre Mazda R2 diesel four. Front engine, four-wheel drive, body-on-frame; length 3,460 mm (136.2 in), width 1,680 mm (66.1 in), height 1,855 mm (73.0 in), curb weight 1,510 kg (3,329 lb).
