The second-generation Ist is similar to the five-door Toyota Yaris/Vitz, with its instrument gauges centred in front of the driver, and its design is inspired by the 2006 Toyota Urban Cruiser Concept. It went on sale in Japan on 30 July 2007 at the Netz Store in two trim levels, 150G and 150X, with Super CVT-i for the 1NZ-FE, and a 180G with the 2ZR-FE was also offered until August 2010. It is marketed as a Scion (xD) in the US, and in Europe and Latin America as the Urban Cruiser, which debuted at the March 2008 Geneva Motor Show and was sold in European markets until 2014. Manufacture ended in March 2016, and it was replaced by the Yaris Cross in 2020.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.

The Mk3 Focus RS's AWD system could send 100 percent of engine power to the rear wheels alone — built not in Ford's home country, but at the Saarlouis plant in Germany.

This Wagon R redesigned its rear doors specifically to kill off the D-pillar — bigger doors with built-in quarter glass solved what earlier generations needed a whole extra pillar for.
