The second-generation Perodua Axia (model code A300) was launched on 14 February 2023 and has been built since January 2023 on the Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA-A), sharing its design with the Toyota Agya and Wigo. It keeps the 1.0-litre 1KR-VE three-cylinder, now with auto start-stop, but drops the manual gearbox: every version uses Daihatsu's D-CVT. It was offered in G, X, SE and AV grades, with Perodua Smart Drive Assist on the AV.
