The second-generation Hyundai i20 has a new exterior and interior design, employing Hyundai's "Fluidic Sculpture 2.0" design philosophy, developed at Hyundai's design facilities in Rüsselsheim, Germany, and a new 1.4-litre diesel engine. It was launched in August 2014 in India and in November 2014 in Europe, with the Turkish-built GB and the Indian-built IB (Elite i20) versions, and was also built in Iran and Algeria. Body styles were a three-door and a five-door hatchback. It shares its platform family with the Hyundai Accent/Verna (RB), Creta (GS), Kia Rio (YB) and Kia Stonic.

We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.

The first Hyundai i20 wasn't engineered in Korea — Hyundai built an entirely new platform for it at its European technical centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany, purely to crack Europe's B-segment.
