FactFord killed the name in January 2022 after 27 years, handing its job to the Tourneo Courier.
After its sibling, the Ford S-Max, was presented at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the all-new third-generation Ford Galaxy (CD390, Mk IV) went on sale in mid-2015 at Almussafes, Spain, on the Ford CD4 platform related to the second-generation S-Max and Edge, the Lincoln MKZ and Nautilus and the fourth-generation Mondeo. It was available with the same range of engines as the S-Max: one diesel in four states of tune and two petrol variants, the 1.5 SCTi EcoBoost with 160 hp and the larger 2.0 SCTi with 240 hp (only with Ford's Powershift automatic); at launch Ford expected only two percent of UK sales to be petrol. All the diesels average over 50 mpg, the most economical being the 2.0 TDCi Duratorq 120 at 57 mpg; the 2.0 TDCi 150 and 180 came with a six-speed manual or the Powershift (the 180 also with AWD) and the top Bi-Turbo 2.0 TDCi 210 with the Powershift only, accelerating from 0 to 60 in under nine seconds. Trims mirrored the S-Max, Mondeo and Edge (Zetec, Titanium and Titanium X). It was updated for the 2020 model year with a new front grille and bumpers like the Mondeo, Focus, Fiesta, Puma and Kuga, the Vignale version, a new automatic transmission and an updated infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; in late 2021 Ford stopped selling the petrol and diesel models, offering only a 2.5-litre hybrid Duratec producing 190 PS with a Durashift CVT (the hybrid has a 1.1 kWh battery and a 133 PS traction motor). In January 2022 Ford announced its discontinuation after 27 years, with the Tourneo Courier named as the direct successor.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.

It has no spare wheel at all, just an aerosol can of foam sealant tucked where the wheel used to sit.

Top Gear rated it the least satisfying car in Britain, the same year 12,233 buyers still made it the class leader.

This Presage minivan shares its underlying platform with the Teana sedan and the North American Murano crossover — one architecture doing three very different jobs.

Subaru's family-hauling Exiga got an unlikely STi treatment in 2009 — front spoiler, sport muffler, tighter suspension and a leather Momo wheel — but only 300 were ever built.

YRV stands for Young Recreational Vehicle, a mini MPV built to out-handle its own segment rivals.

The Terraza was Buick's first-ever minivan for the North American market - a badge-engineered cousin of the Chevrolet Uplander, Pontiac Montana SV6, and Saturn Relay.

The restyled 1994 Lumina Minivan quietly made American automotive history: it was the first minivan sold in the US with a power sliding door you could open by remote.

The first-generation Lumina APV minivan was nicknamed the "Dustbuster" by the press for its sharply sloped windshield, which pushed the dashboard far forward of the driver.

Its steeply sloped windshield gave the Lumina APV one of the deepest dashboards ever fitted to a mass-produced car.

The first Presage wasn't really its own car underneath — most of its parts came straight from the Nissan R'nessa, with more shared with its platform twin, the Bassara.
