FactThis Mira Gino's retro styling borrowed directly from the new BMW-built MINI - a tiny Japanese kei car copying the look of a reborn British icon.
The second-generation Mira Gino (L650S, L660S for four-wheel drive) is a stand-alone line based on the L250 Mira and Move Latte, five-door only, sold from November 2004 to March 2009 with the naturally aspirated 658 cc EF-VE (58 PS at 7,600 rpm, 64 N·m / 47 lb·ft at 4,000 rpm, cleaner thanks to "intelligent catalysts") and a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. The styling was again inspired by the Mini, this time the newer BMW-built one, and the Mira Gino was replaced in March 2009 by the Mira Cocoa. In Europe (Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Gibraltar and France) it was sold as the Trevis (L651LS) with the European Cuore's 1-litre EJ-VE engine, again 58 PS but at 6,000 rpm and with 91 N·m (67 lb·ft), and an optional five-speed manual; the regular Trevis had climate control and a leather Momo steering wheel, and the Trevis Junior was a stripped version at a lower price.
