The BX was a large family car built by Citroën from 1982 to 1994 to replace the GS/GSA, designed by Marcello Gandini to be light, with few body parts and many in plastic. It was announced in June 1982 and presented under the Eiffel Tower on 2 October 1982, as a hatchback and, later, an estate, with Citroën hydropneumatic suspension. The hatchback ended in 1993 when the Xantia arrived and the estate a year later, after 2,315,739 had been built.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.
