The second Neue Klasse model after the iX3, the BMW i3 (NA0) is a battery-electric compact executive sedan unveiled 18 March 2026 and built at BMW's home plant in Munich from August 2026, part of the reborn eighth-generation 3 Series family alongside the unrelated combustion G50 sedan and G51 Touring. Its one confirmed specification at launch, the i3 50 xDrive, is dual-motor all-wheel drive making 463 hp (345 kW; 469 PS) and 476 lb-ft (645 N-m) from a 108.7 kWh NMC battery on an 800V architecture, DC fast-charging at up to 400 kW and rated up to 440 mi (710 km) EPA / 912 km (567 mi) WLTP. China gets an exclusive long-wheelbase variant (NA8, wheelbase stretched 108 mm to 3,006 mm) built at Dadong (BBA), first shown ahead of the Beijing Auto Show on 22 April 2026, with pocket-style door handles for local regulations and an illuminated 'M' C-pillar badge; BMW cites over 1,000 km (620 mi) CLTC range for it but has not restated the LWB's power figures separately, so only the 50 xDrive's global specs are filed here. A performance i3 M (chassis ZA0) is named on the same page with its own quad-motor, individual-wheel-drive layout and a 100 kWh battery, but is filed as its own generation per the halo rule rather than as a trim here.
