FactFord had already registered the name Splash in India, so Suzuki sold this car there as the Maruti Ritz instead.
The Suzuki Splash is a city car introduced in 2008 (also sold as the Opel Agila B, and as the Maruti Suzuki Ritz in India, because the name "Splash" was already registered by Ford in that market). It was introduced to the Japanese market on 20 October 2008, available with the 1.2-litre engine. Maruti Suzuki released the Ritz in India, where it is available in ten specifications, with five equipment levels and either petrol or diesel engine options: the petrol variants are powered by Suzuki's 1.2 litre (1197 cc) K12M engine, a light all-aluminium unit, and the diesel variants by Fiat's 1.3-litre Multijet turbodiesel. More than 200,000 Ritz were sold within the first 37 months of release, and a refreshed Ritz launched in India in 2012 with a new ZDI variant.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.

The Mk3 Focus RS's AWD system could send 100 percent of engine power to the rear wheels alone — built not in Ford's home country, but at the Saarlouis plant in Germany.

In June 2003, a Mégane II became the subject of the first ever live televised crash test with a real human driver at the wheel instead of a dummy — filmed by Top Gear.
