FactColin McRae drove a 85 PS Vivio RX-R to a fastest stage time on the Safari Rally.
A kei car introduced in March 1992 as the successor to the Rex, in 3- and 5-door versions and the two-door targa T-top (3,000 built by Takada Kogyo for Subaru's 40th anniversary in 1993, with a further 1,000 GX-T in 1994). The name is a nod to the 660 cc engine in approximated Roman numerals (VI, VI, O) and to "vivid". Front- or four-wheel drive, 658 cc "Clover" fours (all SOHC 8-valve except the twin-cam 16-valve RX-R), an ECVT option, and the retro Bistro series from November 1995. Unlike rivals, its export engine matched the Japanese one. The rally "Super KK" (RX-R) made 85 PS and took Colin McRae to a fastest stage on the Safari.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.
