FactThe Stinger traces back to a 2011 show car, six years before Kia actually built the production version.
The Stinger was a mid-size five-door fastback built by Kia from October 2017 to April 2023, tracing its roots to the 2011 GT Concept and unveiled at the 2017 North American International Auto Show. It used a shortened version of the Genesis front-engine, rear-wheel-drive platform, with all-wheel drive available, and an 8-speed automatic as the only gearbox. A 2020 facelift added a 2.5-litre turbo four, and Kia ended production in April 2023 amid falling demand.

Owning one
An estimate, for the 2.0 T-GDi trim: fuel on its EPA figure and a dated national price, upkeep on a per-mile average for the kind of car it is.
