FactGurgel's Supermini let buyers option an Alfa Romeo 128 carburetor onto a Brazilian flat-twin built for a 645 kg city car.
The Gurgel Supermini, built in Brazil from 1992 to 1994 as the successor to the BR-800, improved on its predecessor's body finish and engine. Its naturally-aspirated, water-cooled 792 cc longitudinal flat-twin (fed by a single Brosol H36 carburettor, with an optional Alfa 128 carb) made 36 hp (26 kW) at 5,500 rpm in its most powerful state of tune, using larger intake valves for a 4 hp gain over the base engine. Front engine, rear-wheel drive, 4-speed manual; curb weight 645 kg (1,422 lb).
