FactFiat ran Michael Schumacher in the ads, then watched the Stilo finish third in Car of the Year anyway.
The Fiat Stilo (Type 192), a small family car offered as a three- and five-door hatchback and an estate, the Stilo Multi Wagon. The hatchbacks were presented in March 2001 at the Bologna Motor Show and launched in Europe in October 2001 to replace the Bravo/Brava, with the Multi Wagon following in January 2003. It rides on the Fiat C2 platform and was styled by Centro Stile Fiat under design director Peter Fassbender. It finished third in the 2002 European Car of the Year, behind the Peugeot 307 and Renault Laguna, but was ultimately a sales disappointment despite a campaign using Michael Schumacher, and it was criticised for its weight and its torsion-beam rear suspension. It was the second car after the second-generation Punto to use TRW column-drive electric power steering. A light facelift came in 2004 and an update for MY2006 in September 2005. The five-door continued to be built in Brazil until October 2010, when the Bravo replaced it. The Abarth ran in the Trofeo Stilo Abarth one-make series in Italy from 2002 to 2005.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.
