The Citroën Fukang is a series of compact vehicles, the first cars made for the Chinese market by Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën Automobile (assembled at Xiangyang and Wuhan). The first Fukang appeared in 1992 as a semi-knock-down rebadged Citroën ZX hatchback, the Fukang DC7140 ("Prosperity and Health"), later joined by the DC7160 with a fuel-injected 1.6; 17,000 SKD ZXs were built until late 1996, when Dongfeng's own two Wuhan plants began local production (capacity 150,000 a year). The Fukang 988 saloon, developed by Heuliez and shown in September 1998 (with a long-wheelbase 988 VIP), continued until the Élysée replaced it in 2003, while the hatchback stayed until the C-Élysée replaced it on 26 February 2009; a 4-door pickup and a 2-door panel van (Dongfeng N15/EQ1010F) also existed, and it was voted "China's Best Value car" in 2005. The engines are a 1.4 L TU3JP/K and a 1.6 L N6A four-cylinder with a 5-speed manual, front-wheel drive; the page gives no power or dimensions.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.
