FactChevrolet's budget-friendly Agile started life as a show car: it's based directly on the GPiX Concept unveiled at the 2008 São Paulo Auto Show.
The Chevrolet Agile is a subcompact developed by Chevrolet in Brazil and built in Argentina (Alvear, Santa Fe) between 2009 and 2016, sold only as a 5-door hatchback (a coupé utility, the Montana, was offered too). It was based on the GPiX concept shown at the 2008 São Paulo Auto Show, went on sale in 2009 to compete with the Volkswagen Fox, and rests on the early-1990s Opel Corsa B. It came in LT and LTZ trims with a base LS in some markets, ABS available on the LTZ, and a sporty top "Effect" trim added with the August 2013 facelift (new headlights, bumpers, grille, rear end and, on the LTZ, a multifunction steering wheel) and discontinued in 2015; the facelift kept the same 1.4 8v 92 hp petrol engine and five-speed manual. The only engine is the Family 1 1.4 L flex-fuel four: in most South American markets the 1389 cc unit makes 92 PS and 120 N·m, while the Brazilian Agile Flexfuel makes 97 PS and 129 N·m on petrol and 102 PS and 132 N·m on ethanol. Latin NCAP rated the no-airbag, no-ABS Agile as totally unsafe in 2013, with zero stars for adult occupants and two for children. Production ended in 2016 with the Onix succeeding it. Wheelbase 100.0 in, length 157.5 in, width 66.1 in, height 57.9 in, curb weight 2,275 lb; the page does not give the drivetrain.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.
