The BYD Seagull is a five-door battery electric city car, BYD's smallest model, introduced in China on 27 April 2023 and built on the e-Platform 3.0 with a single front motor. It is sold as the Dolphin Mini in Latin America, the Dolphin Surf in Europe and South Africa, and the Atto 1 in Indonesia, Thailand, Nepal, Australia and New Zealand. In China it uses a 55 kW motor with a 30 or 38 kWh Blade battery; the European and Australian cars, from 2025, are longer and have 65 kW or 115 kW motors. BYD received 10,000 orders within 24 hours of its release.
