When the Plus 4 returned in late 2004, Morgan dropped the classic Rover/Triumph engine for a Ford-sourced, Mazda-built Duratec four.
Over its 15-year run, Morgan's hand-built Plus 4 second series went through 114 separate design changes — including swapping its steel wings for superformed aluminium in 1998.
Morgan built a 4-seat drophead version of the Plus 4 from 1954-56 — and lost money on every single one. Only 51 left the factory before Morgan pulled the plug on the body style.
