Every V8 Vantage engine was hand-built at Aston Martin's Cologne, Germany facility -- the same shop that assembled the V12s for the DB9 and Vanquish.
From 1998, Aston Martin would take your Vantage back into Works Service and convert it to V600 spec — bumping the twin-supercharged V8 from 550 to 600 hp.
