The Renault 15 is a two-door fastback hatchback coupé designed and built by French automaker Renault between July 1971 and August 1979 alongside the near-identical Renault 17, effectively a coupé version of the Renault 12. The 15 and 17 were presented at the Paris Motor Show in October 1971; the mechanicals and chassis came largely from the Renault 12 while the body was completely new. The R15 differed from the R17 in that it had the single headlights of the R12, a simpler side profile, no folding roof and a rear side window that could be opened but did not split. The R15 TL had the 1289 cc engine from the Renault 12, rated at 60 PS, while the R15 TS used the 1565 cc engine of the Renault 16 TS rated at 90 PS; the March 1976 range facelift (enlarged headlights, body-coloured grille surround) made the R15 TL and GTL mechanically identical to the earlier R15 TL. The British Autocar tested a 1,289 cc Renault 15 TL in November 1972, recording 94 mph and 0–60 mph in 13.6 seconds, while praising its styling, comfort and equipment. It was gradually introduced in Australia from May 1973. A total of 209,887 Renault 15s and 94,969 Renault 17s were manufactured, and both were replaced by the Renault Fuego, presented in March 1980.

The CTR Anniversary looks like a 911 but Ruf built its carbon monocoque from scratch, no Porsche body underneath.

The 228's coupe styling hides a sedan underneath: Maserati stretched it onto the longer four-door Biturbo chassis to make room for its biggest V6, which is literally where the name comes from — 2-door, 2.8 litre.

Switching to fuel injection let this V8 finally shed its trademark bonnet bulge — and only 405 of these flat-hooded Series 5 cars were built before the whole model retired in 1989.

Japanese buyers got a secret weapon in their MX-6 — the JDM-only KL-ZE V6 made about 40 more horsepower than the engine sold in the exact same car in North America.

An American tuner, Callaway Cars, built twin-turbo conversions of the GTV6 that boosted its V6 by fifty percent to 230 hp — turning Alfa's grand tourer into something far quicker than the factory ever intended.
