The Chevrolet Sonic crossover is a subcompact SUV built by General Motors do Brasil at Gravataí since 2026, developed as Project Carbon from the Onix family on the GM GEM platform to sit between the Onix and the Tracker. It went on sale in Brazil in the first half of 2026, aimed at South America, reviving a name used on a Brazilian-built compact in 2012–2014. It has a 1.0 litre turbo flex-fuel three-cylinder of 115 CV with six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.
