The third-generation A5 (B10) went into production at Neckarsulm in August 2024 and replaced both the A4 saloon and Avant and the A5 Sportback, under Audi's new scheme of odd numbers for combustion cars and even numbers for electric ones. It is offered as a liftback and an Avant estate; the coupé and cabriolet were dropped. It is the first model on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), with 48-volt mild-hybrid 2.0-litre petrol and diesel fours and a 2.0-litre e-hybrid plug-in. The S5 and RS 5 are separate models.
