FactAriel built its off-road buggy from the same bare tube exoskeleton as the roofless Atom, just pointed at gravel.
The Ariel Nomad, introduced January 2015 at the Autosport International Show, is a road-legal off-road buggy from the small English specialist Ariel Motor Company, built along the same exoskeletal, bodywork-free tube-chassis principles as the company's Atom sports car (an EV version, the Nomad EV, has been in development since 2023 with UK government funding). It uses a 2.4-litre Honda engine producing 235 bhp. The company's own overview page gives no wheelbase, body dimensions, curb weight or explicit drivetrain layout for the Nomad specifically (only prose about the engine), so those fields are left unset here rather than assumed from the related Atom.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.
