The Alpine A110 is a rear mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car introduced by Alpine at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show in March 2017, with deliveries beginning in late 2017 for Continental European markets and in 2018 for the UK, Japan and Australia; both its name and design refer back to the original A110 produced from 1961 to 1977. Based on an all-aluminium construction, it is powered by a Nissan-derived 1.8-litre turbocharged direct-injection four-cylinder, developed by Renault-Nissan and reworked by Alpine engineers, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission from Getrag, with 252 PS at 6,000 rpm and 320 N·m at 2,000-5,000 rpm and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. It was initially available in Pure, Première and Légende trims, the Première being the launch edition limited to 1,955 units, and all shared the same powertrain. The A110 S was introduced in June 2019 as a high-performance, lightweight variant with stiffer springs and anti-roll bars, a retuned engine with a larger turbocharger and peak power arriving 1,400 rpm higher; the track-focused A110 R ("Radical") debuted on 4 October 2022, and in 2024 Alpine revealed the A110R Ultime as the final all-petrol Alpine, with 110 built. Production ended in June 2026, as Alpine readied the plant for the A110's all-electric successor. The page gives conflicting power figures for the A110 S (292 PS in the infobox, 300 PS in the text), so no power figure is given for that trim.

Owning one
We don’t estimate running costs for a car like this. What it costs depends on its condition, its specialist and how it is driven, and an average would mislead.

The 228's coupe styling hides a sedan underneath: Maserati stretched it onto the longer four-door Biturbo chassis to make room for its biggest V6, which is literally where the name comes from — 2-door, 2.8 litre.

Switching to fuel injection let this V8 finally shed its trademark bonnet bulge — and only 405 of these flat-hooded Series 5 cars were built before the whole model retired in 1989.

Japanese buyers got a secret weapon in their MX-6 — the JDM-only KL-ZE V6 made about 40 more horsepower than the engine sold in the exact same car in North America.

An American tuner, Callaway Cars, built twin-turbo conversions of the GTV6 that boosted its V6 by fifty percent to 230 hp — turning Alfa's grand tourer into something far quicker than the factory ever intended.
