Saturn had already been given its death sentence when production of the Outlook briefly stopped in late 2009. GM restarted the line in February 2010 for one reason: to use up the parts already sitting in inventory.

The Outlook shared its Lambda platform and Michigan plant with three other GM brands' three-row crossovers.
