The 2022 NX was the first Lexus production model ever to swap its classic rear 'L' badge for a spaced-out Lexus logotype — a change made so late in development that leaked marketing material months earlier still showed the old badge.

US-market NX models wear a slightly different fascia than everywhere else — tweaked just enough to improve the departure angle so the EPA classifies it as a light truck.
