All 2 Ford Lotus Cortina Generations
Each generation deals in its rarity tier’s alloy with its engine disc, lead specs, and first spotter record. Click into any generation for full trims and market figures.

The Mk1 Lotus Cortina's twin-cam engine came from Lotus itself. By the Mk2, Ford had taken the engine-building in-house — Colin Chapman's name stayed on the badge, his factory didn't build the heart anymore.

The original Lotus Cortina used aluminium body panels and a one-off A-frame rear suspension — but the A-frame proved so fragile that Ford quietly reverted to the standard Cortina's leaf-spring rear end.
